新型低维量子材料和器件研究非常重要,是发展低能耗、高速度自旋电子学和新型存算一体化量子器件的重要方向之一,也是突破已有材料和器件功能壁垒的前沿领域。我们主要通过激光分子束外延,操纵单个原子层的堆叠“lego”结构,在单原子基础上发展人工结构新材料,研究关联电子体系在其界面结构中的物性表现和深层原理,探索具有超小尺寸、超快响应等迫切需求的低维量子材料和器件,为解决“后摩尔时代”器件发展的瓶颈问题服务。
我们的研究方向包括以下方面:(1)在原子层级别研究关联电子体系界面新奇效应,通过界面对称性破缺、关联相互作用、强自旋轨道耦合等物理效应的竞争与协作,构建界面超导、二维电子气、二维界面磁性等界面电、磁特性,理解其物理图像,并对其进行调控;(2)研究二维自站立薄膜的制备技术,通过柔性衬底制备磁电柔性材料和器件,并将其与硅基半导体结合,开展关联量子材料的应用研究;(3)通过同步辐射、中子反射等大科学装置研究手段,探测界面结构、成分、能带结构和磁结构,解析界面新奇效应的物理机制。
