物质学院分析测试中心成立于2014年,是在学校的大力支持下,为了打造一流的科学研究环境而筹建的院公共测试平台,同时她面向社会开放共享,积极为地方的科研和经济建设服务。
经过上海市政府财政资金的连续大力投入,中心目前装备的40万元以上的大型分析测试仪器有43台,总价值逾8500多万元,能够从事有机材料、无机材料和生物大分子的结构和成分定性定量分析,固体表面形貌分析,材料物理性能、物相及相变分析,元素化学态的测定,热分析等工作。
中心从国内外著名高校、研究机构和仪器公司聘请高水平学者和经验丰富的工程师出任仪器管理和分析测试人员,现有专业技术教师和管理人员共12人,其中9人具有博士学位。中心拥有独立的三个楼面的现代化实验室,使用面积近2200平方米。
中心在服务于科研的同时,还承担本科生和研究生相关实验课程的教学任务,注重培养学生的动手和独立研究能力,敢于放手让学生自主测试;为了让学生有充足的时间进行测试并充分发挥现代化先进仪器的作用, 大部分仪器每天24小时开放。
中心将努力建成仪器设备先进、综合分析测试能力一流、管理规范、运行高效的大型仪器共享平台,为学院在材料、能源和环境三个领域的科学研究和高层次人才培养提供强有力的技术支撑,成为学院创新人才培养的重要培训和实验基地。
Analytical Instrumentation Center (AIC) of School of Physical Science and Technology, ShanghaiTech University, was established in 2014. It is one of key shared instrumental platforms for teaching and research at ShanghaiTech and offers first-class scientific research environment for the professors and graduate students. It is also opened to the society and services the local research and economical activities.
Under the continuous financial support from Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, the AIC equipped with 43 large instruments whose price is more than 0.4 million RMB and the total value of the instruments amounts to 85 million RMB. These instruments can be used to investigate the structure, chemical composition, chemical state, physical properties, phase change, and surface topography of organic and inorganic materials as well as biomacromolecules.
The AIC employs high level scholars and experienced engineers from the domestic and foreign famous universities, research institutes, and companies as the instrument administrators and analysts. Up to now, there are 12 administrators and analysts and nine of them have a doctorate. The AIC has a modern laboratory with three separate floors, with an area of nearly 2,200 square meters.
At the time of serving scientific research, the AIC also undertakes experimental courses of undergraduate and graduate students. The AIC pays attention to train the independent study ability of students and encourages the students to do measurement by themselves. Most of the instruments are open to students in 24 hours a day.
The AIC will be built into a large measurement platform with advanced instruments, first-class analysis ability, high running efficiency and good management. It will provide strong technical support for the scientific research and talents cultivation in the field of materials, energy and environment and becomes the important experimental and training base of the school for the innovative talent cultivation.
