1998年在中国科学技术大学获理学学士学位; 2002年在哈佛大学获得博士学位; 2003年-2005年在加州大学伯克利分校从事博士后研究;现任斯坦福大学教授。

纳米材料的设计,合成和性能研究以及应用在能源存储,太阳能电池,催化,水和空气净化; 二位层状材料;拓扑绝缘体;纳米生物学。
